Bo Daalsgard

Bo is an Associate Professor that has worked with hummingbirds and their interactions with flowering plants since his PhD (2005-2009). He has for two decades conducted fieldwork on hummingbirds and plants across several islands in the Caribbean, supervised several PhD students working on plant-hummingbird interactions in South America, and have the past decade been leading a major international collaborate effort focused on understanding how climate, evolutionary history and morphological traits influence how specialized hummingbirds are on their flowering plants. In addition to hummingbirds, Bo has a wide scientific interest, notably focused on interest in community ecology, mutualistic plant-animal interactions, ecological networks, island biogeography, biogeography, and macroecology.
