Victoria Pappas

Victoria’s admiration for hummingbirds began in her native Peru, where Amazilia amazilia frequently visited the aloe vera and flowers in her home garden while she was growing up. That early connection deepened during a Hummingbird Banding Workshop in Ecuador in 2016, offered by HCNs. Years later, after immigrating to the United States, she reconnected with the organization. Victoria now lives in Virginia with her husband, Michael. As an herbalist and wellness coach, she is building her own herbalism practice. In addition to her work as an herbalist, she serves as a Project Manager for Collaborative Thinking and works seasonally as a houseplant caretaker and salesperson in the greenhouse section of the Merrifield Garden Center. She earned a Health & Wellness Coaching Certificate from Georgetown University in 2024, a Post-Baccalaureate Certificate in Herbal Studies from Maryland University of Integrative Health (MUIH) in 2023, and a bachelor’s degree in Veterinary Medicine & Animal Husbandry from Cayetano Heredia Peruvian University in 2017.
